| Ryan Thang couldn't stand the Cinderella label. The sophomore forward cringed whenever Notre Dame's run to the Frozen Four final was referred to as magical. | Notre Dame forward Mark Van Guilder can tell the Fighting Irish hockey team has gained acceptance on campus. | Gerbe, Jones and Porter chosen as Hobey Baker finalists (AP) |
| Nathan Gerbe of Boston College, Miami of Ohio's Ryan Jones, and Kevin Porter of Michigan were chosen Wednesday as finalists for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, given to the college hockey player of the year.
